I was promoted within my team to a Design Engineer. In this role I take on more ownership of our React and Angular WCAG 2.0 AA-compliant component libraries. I provide support to consuming developers and learning materials for our core team and developer teams across the company. These include videos, blogs, and articles detailing how to use our libraries as well as general front-end guidance.

As a Visa Associate Design Engineer. I work on building and ensuring accessibility for Visa-themed components. Our current component libraries are built for web, React, and Angular applications. We reached a great milestone by getting our React library accessible by Visa standards on March 31 and are currently working toward the same goal with our Angular library.

I graduated in May 2019 and joined Visa's User Experience team less than a month later. I helped the team develop web components for internal applications and ensure the components are compatible with the supported combinations of screen readers and browsers. During my 3 month stint as an intern, I created 3 components and added accessibility features to more than 5.

I worked on a team for UNT's Software Engineering course to create a restaurant management system. We used HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and phpMyAdmin. I lead the front-end design and guided my team in usability principles.

I worked with Santa David & Friends to create a website to bring in more events. The website is built using Wordpress as a Foundation, but has many features that were created using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I worked on a team at the UNT Student Financial Aid & Scholarships that reconstructed the department website that went live July 2018. For this project, I learned HTML, CSS, Foundation, and the Drupal interface. My primary focus was targeting our website to our student population.

I spoke at the Annual Meeting of Human Factors and Ergononomics Society over a paper I co-authored as a result of the work I was involved with at the Computational Neuropsychology and Simulation (CNS) Lab.

I began attending the University of North Texas (UNT) where I am pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology and a Technical Writing Certificate (graduated in 2019). I also joined the Computational Neuropsychology and Simulation (CNS) Lab where I gained valuable research experience running participants through our Avatar Administered Neuropsychological Testing.
